Single Ply Membrane Roofing

The majority of flat roofs are single ply membrane systems. While many look alike, not all single ply membrane systems are the same. One type of system is the EPDM, which is a black membrane that is best used for waterproofing applications or for places where the sun doesn't hit it directly for much time, such as a patio. 

White membranes are used more commonly for larger roofing applications. The white single ply membranes are more energy efficient and can be recycled. In most cases, white membranes are used when installing single ply membrane roofing systems.
